World Clean Up day was a great day on Zanzibar! We saw people cleaning beaches and the streets in the villages. At Bellevue Guesthouse we want to continue with cleaning up Zanzibar! The amount of empty wine bottles and other bottles is endless on the Island. CHAKO Zanzibar is using the bottles to create beautiful products, which we of course sell in our shop. But there is more that we can do and we hope that more hotels will follow. CHAKO makes drinking glasses and we use them in our restaurant and rooms. Our order is small but if all hotels on Zanzibar place an order, we can help CHAKO to reduce the amount of bottles and we create new jobs too!
